About Me

Hello, my name is Amber Anderson and I am an Art Education Major with a sculpture emphasis and wood working focus. I will graduate k-12 certified but I really want to teach middle school! I'm going on 5 and a half years at grand valley and I can't wait to graduate in December! I am the mom of a beautiful three year old boy named Weston and he is my ambition for everything in life. My hobbies include lots of DIY, being the side kick to my sons favorite superhero of the day, and gardening. The experience I have with including technology in classroom is using a smart board, using some Google classroom, and blogging. I also learned about how to include some technology in UDL.

Here is just a picture of me working with some of students.

Here is a video of my doing something that I love to do, which is getting into silly back and fourths with Weston's while quoting the Sand Lot (his favorite movie)

Finished IMovie

Here is the link to our finished IMoive video based on what makes people happy. It consists of videos of 13 Gvsu students writing and drawing what makes them happy. This movie was so much fun to make and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

What Makes You Happy? GVSU edition

Last Week of Class

I'm very excited to say that I've finished this week pretty strong. I had a great interview with my teacher assisting placement teacher and principal. I also found out that I won the call for art here at GVSU! I couldn't have asked for anything more!

So we are starting to brainstorm our movie ideas and have come up with making a movie on "what makes you happy?" so here is our mind map

Thursday, November 12, 2015

I guess that if I was about to make a movie like these ones in class I'd like to make one about kids or children, because that is really what my life revolves around. I would also be interested in make a bad scary movie, one that's funny. Id also be interested in a tattoo documentary. I guess that would be kind of interesting. So I guess I'm looking more at documentary.

I get my test results tomorrow, but after finding out they they are accepting my old writing score in combination with my new english score all that I have to pass is the math portion of the PRE. That takes a lot of stress off my back. In other news our animation in flash is almost done and I can't wait to get it up here.
