This is my blog based on my art and experiences at Grand Valley. I am an Art Education Major with a wood sculpture emphasis. I enjoy everything wood grain and that comes from nature.
Enjoy My Thoughts
This was a great, original script!!! Plus, a super fun animation. I love the theme of girl power and how you created a cinematic experience. You did a great job animating your parts and creating visual tension. Your video was a lot of fun to watch. ☺ The ambulance was hilarious, even if it wasn’t meant to be an object of humor. Great work!
What was creative? -There was a hero for each group member -Use of photographs and animated characters -The transitions -Told a personal story through fictitious characters
What do you like? -Cute superheros -Lots of elements -Very cohesive in including all the characters
Group Two: (Emma, Jen, Amber) -I like that you included backstories to each of the characters to go with the story. I think that your story was really creative and I really like that you included a sort of cliff hanger to draw people in to the next episode. -I really like the theme of your project and that there is something coming later or next. I like that you included cartoon like characters along with realistic photos. -Rate: 4 stars! I think the concept and story was fantastic…the technique in some areas could be improved but I think it was really awesome! I think the transitions were done very well and i really loved the characters.
Strengths: Great strategy for storytelling by given each character a backstory and development. Into of reading written statements really helped me get ready for your animation. Very creative storyline.
Animation came together very nicely with all three group members characters. I really liked the introductions of the characters, and the tune in next time scene at the end. I thought that really helped make it creative. Great choice of theme for project. I liked how you made it feel like a superhero episode.
How you started the presentation about telling a backstory before even starting the animation was really unique way to start and I liked it!
The beginning is awesome how you have credits before the movie even starts. The animation was very clever! The animation was smooth through the transitions from one character to another. The idea of a backstory and then how they become who they are and what their powers were were all handled very well. Used a lot of techniques to create a depth of field to really drive the audience into the story. Very well done animation! My only recommendation would be add a variety of music maybe for each character; I know a lot of extra work! But overall, it was great, 5 stars!
The story you guys laid out was well thought out and explained each characters story in a unique and specific way. The character design worked really well and looked like they could actually appear in a comic.
I like the opening scene, which the background and the texts work very well. The story is full of imaginary. Three characters are energetic and beautiful. I really like the blue superwomen, because the film is smooth and interesting. I love the part which ambulance takes away superwomen.
